Free Yourself From Depression
ANDREW WONG
Recover your best life
I provide depth therapy to reduce the destructive pattern of depression
You want to do your best–at school, in your work, and in caring for the people you love–but daily living can be so difficult. You adapt by trying harder, pushing yourself on. Despite all this effort your performance at school, productivity at work, and even presence with others feels like it is never enough.
You assume this means there is something wrong with you. Harsh criticism is the most natural and fluent way you speak to yourself. Most nights you strain for restful sleep as mistakes, frustrations, and challenging interactions from the day wash over you again. This daily struggle exhausts you. You wonder if life was always like this, and if it has to be this way.
Self-criticism is not the center of who you are.
Some very deep part of you actually desires to heal and live meaningfully in this world. Even now this true self is daring to hope that change is possible, change that would enrich your relationship to yourself, others, and what is most important to you.
Healing is a journey that was never meant to be taken alone. Our minds and bodies naturally seek out help to calm, understand, and grow toward health. Instead of attempting to outperform, distract, or criticize yourself out of these painful patterns, you’ll experience courage and compassion for yourself. Working together, I will help you identify the patterns that cause and sustain your suffering. You will learn to regain your life.
It’s time to free yourself from depression and self-criticism. Schedule a phone call with me today.

How much do sessions cost?
My fee is $160/session. I occasionally can accommodate sliding scale appointments. I offer super bills for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Call our care coordinator with any questions about fee.
What kinds of problems do you help with?
I help children, adolescents, and adults recover from depression and the harmful patterns it sustains, including self-criticism, dissatisfying relationships, emotional numbness, anxious thinking, disrupted sleep, and a loss of energy and creativity. Because we are all shaped by our communities and traditions, I welcome people to explore how race, culture, and spirituality shape their experience and challenges.
What is your training?
I am currently a second year clinical psychology PhD student in the School of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary. I am experienced in psychodynamic, family systems, and cognitive behavioral psychotherapies. I have partnered with children, teenagers, and adults in healing from depression and other harmful patterns.
